BIRTHDAY SURPRISE ON OCT.9
My wife gave me a surprise gift I never imagined she could pull off!!
Yesterday she was in a taping at our house with Chef Rob for CHEFS TO GO of QTV 11 [Sundays @ 7pm] as she was their featured guest. They have a new season and decided to feature her with Chef Rob cooking a couple of recipe dishes---which were my favorites---Salpicao and Baked Ziti!!
To my surprise when I went home, the whole crew had me stunned as they said Portia and I will enjoy a sumptuous dinner IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA [which left me sweating all over!!] and I thought that was all. After a few minutes, Francine Prieto came in and sang a birthday song with a cake at hand and asked me to blow the candle and make a wish.
I was left speechless and so was Portia as she was also surprised after knowing from Chef Rob that they have some ANNIVERSARY gifts for us [as it'll be our 11th Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 12] and that the whole episode was designed not only to surprise me but her as well!!
Sad to say, I wasn't able to get my camera upstairs to have a photo with Chef Rob and Francine along with my family.
But I had a great dinner [amidst the lights and cameras] and expressed my gratitude to Portia, Chef Rob and the rest of the production team.
What more can I say?

Kumpareng Dennis, your birthday surprise will be the benchmark of all BIRTHDAY SURPRISES! Imagine dinner at home made by the best chefs in town, and your birthday cake brought in no less by FRANCINE PRIETO, and that all action to be aired on QTV! To top it all, you get Birthday and Anniversary gifts (Even Portia didn't see it coming! Double whammy! ) Haaay, its just sad you did not get a photo with Francine! the moral of the story is - Next time - always be ready with your camera !!! Now I KNOW that you had a really HAPPY birthday bro!!

Next time bili ka ng point & shoot digicam para naman meron ka laging "for emergency use only". Chef Rob, grabe idol ko siya, sana naman ma meet ko siya someday, galing ng show niya. Happy Anniversary na rin to you and Ninang Portia!!! God Bless
