MEETING A MASTER OF PHOTOGRAPHY

The other day, I got the privilege to meet Ed Bayani, a veteran and master of Photography. His specialty back in his time was rendering special effects in the darkroom where Photoshop and editing softwares were yet remote and even unheard of. Listening to his stories as to how he shot print ads for FORD Philippines, Johnson and Johnson, etc. left me astounded and amazed at his discipline and ability to explore avenues where no other photographer during his time would take...As one fellow photographer told him, "You really like to break the rules..." Indeed, despite the digital age and being retired, he has not settled to sit down and let his artistic side fade away. Today, he is into another form of art, which I will describe and define in another post. I knew I spent that morning productively with Mr. Bayani. In fact, he even agreed to help me out in my future shoots....a blessing not everyone gets to enjoy!!
