Crunch Time...

The last two weeks have been very hectic in terms of design and creative projects to be submitted to Monterey & Monty's--subsidiaries of San Miguel Corporation. The food shots were supplied by the client. Thanks to my creative and hard-working artist, Rina, we are still on schedule. Here are some of what we have done.

Noah's Ark

The types of events I enjoy covering are plays, concerts, fashion shows and the likes simply because of the performance level the cast displays. And such is Noah's Ark which I was asked to document last Saturday...I had fun watching kids and young adults act, sing and dance! Will try to post more pics soon, but here are some of them....

ALCHEMY

I was in the above restaurant last Thursday as I was invited to assist for a veteran photographer, Dojo Palines--a former President of the Advertising Photographers Association. He is also the mentor of Xander Angeles--a noted fashion photographer in Philippine's Next Top Model. It was a pleasure to see a MASTER @ work!! He shot these images using a 5 light set up: 3 norman 2400 heads, 1200 power pack and elinchrom 400bx heads all in grids!!! Funny cause there was another shoot going on at the other side of the resto and it was a fashion shoot, only to see the other photographer using one VISIO monolight!! And we were shooting food with 5 lights!!! :=) Thanks Doj for these images...

"Hell Week"

I was asked by Chef Dino to drop by his office yesterday morning and had fun shooting the "real life" inside a culinary academy's kitchen! Though I had the chance to shoot inside a kitchen with some restaurant clients of mine, but what I witnessed yesterday was no way in comparison to how they described it---"Hell Week"! A group of chefs were in a whirl chopping, boiling, frying, styling, in order to feed a couple of incoming students and receive constructive remarks later. Of course, the best part was having a share in the meal!! :=) And what great food I had....here are some images: Prep shots... Show time!!! Chef Dino facilitating the session... The best part....
